I was born in Denmark in 1975.

Raised in a small society by parents who - inspired by the Hippie Movement - moved from the capital of Denmark to a small hamlet, in the Northern part of Jutland. I grew up in a small society near the great North Sea and the distinct beauty of the nature surrounding it.

Growing up in a "city family" living in a small village, I experienced the big cultural difference between the country side and the city. Despite trying really hard, I never really felt that I fit in. As a young woman I was drawn to the city lights and to a "bigger world" with more opportunities and with little appreciation of the life and the area I was leaving behind. Later in life I've learned to really appreciate my childhood country, the nature and the wonderful, understated people living there.

I'm currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark where I live with my two daughters but I keep coming back to the area of northern Jutland - often carrying my camera with me.

My work has taken me to all parts of Scandinavia and occasionally also to New York - a city where I have found my mentor, the great E.J. Camp. Here I find inspiration and motivation to develop my skills.

My style is raw and simple, and I'm inspired by the Nordic light and by Danish painters like Wilhelm Hammershøj, Mikael Kvium and P.S. Krøyer, but as I grow older, I also get more and more inspired by the strong colours of fx Frida Kahlo.

​During my career, I've had the pleasure to portray so many inspiring people with just as many different backgrounds and life stories and I've also had the honor of working with several Danish and international actors and athletes such as Willem Dafoe and Michael Laudrup.

I love the intensity of the moments I share with my clients and the people I portray and think every person has a special beauty. As a photographer, I see it as my responsibility to create a comfortable and safe atmosphere and to pass on to the photos the distinct beauty I see in people.
